Global Search

Once the seeker logs in they can see a search bar in the middle of the navbar. This search bar can be used to search for all categories that the system has to offer.

Notice that the dropdown before the search bar is set to ‘All’ by default.

The search begins once the seeker enters three or more characters in the search bar to get more accurate results. Here the seeker can search for their requirements under 5 categories

All categories

Once the seeker type some characters, they would be shown results for the input given from people, jobs, companies, and institutions.

If their search character is present in any of these places they would be shown as a dropdown along with the count of the number of results found for the search character.

• The seeker can click on any one of the results shown and that would take them to the respective pages.
• Click on show all results and view the universal page where they can see a small count of the total results found on all the categories at once.
• The seeker can also go to the universal page by typing some characters and pressing the enter key.

People

The seeker can view few set of people here and if the search results are more, a show more results button would be shown at the bottom, which would take them to the people page.

• Here the current search has 19 results and the first few results can be seen here.
• Seeker has to click on any one of the search results to view the profile page of that person.
• When clicked on the see more people results button, they would be taken to the people page.

• Seeker can see that the character they had searched for while coming to the universal page is pre-filled in the search bar.
• Once removed they will see all the results of the people that are currently present.
• The seeker can also search for any other person by removing the prefilled text and inputting their new search anytime.
• Pagination is at the bottom to navigate to different pages. Each page would display a maximum of 10 people.

Sort By

This will sort the people based on the input given. The seeker can sort people based on two criteria. By default, people would be sorted under Name – descending

1. Name (ascending or descending) – sort happens based on the name
2. Username (ascending or descending) – sort happens based on the username

Jobs

The seeker can view few set of jobs here and if the search results are more, a show more jobs results button would be shown at the bottom, which would take them to the Job list page.

• Here the current search has 10 results and the first few results can be seen here.
• Click on any cards title to go to the detailed page
• bookmark them to view under “my jobs”
• Click on the company name to move to the company profile page,
• Seeker can also share that particular job post using the share button.
• When clicked on the see more jobs results button, they would be taken to the “Job List” page.

• Seeker can see that the character they had searched for while coming to the universal page is pre-filled in the search bar.
• Once removed they will see the all results of the jobs that are currently present.
• To know more about the job list page, go through view jobs.

Company

The seeker can view few set of companies here and if the search results are more, a show more companies button would be shown at the bottom, which would take them to the company page.

• Here the current search has 5 results and the first few results can be seen here.
• Click on any card’s company name to move to the company profile page.
• The rating of each company can be seen in the form of stars.
• Below the company name is the industry name to which the company belongs and the headquarters of the company.
• If the company has any active jobs, the total count of jobs is shown below the logo.
• When clicked on the see more company results button, they would be taken to the company page.

• Seeker can see that the character they had searched for while coming to the universal page is pre-filled in the search bar.
• Once removed they will see all the results of active companies registered with the system.
• Pagination is at the bottom to navigate to different pages. Each page would display a maximum of 8 companies.

Sort By

This will sort the company based on the input given. The seeker can sort companies based on three criteria. By default, company would be sorted under Recent – descending

1. Recent (ascending or descending) – sort happens based on the recently added companies.
2. Name (ascending or descending) – sort happens based on the name
3. Location (ascending or descending) – sort happens based on the Location

Educational Institution

The seeker can view few set of institutions and if the search results are more, a show more institutions button would be shown at the bottom, which would take them to the institution page.

• Here the current search has 6 results and the first few results can be seen here.
• Click on any card’s institution name to move to the institution profile page.
• The rating of each institution can be seen in the form of stars.
• Below the institution name is the industry name to which the institution belongs and the headquarters of the institution.
• If the institution has any active jobs, the total count of jobs is shown below the logo.
• When clicked on the see more institution results button, they would be taken to the institution page.

• Seeker can see that the character they had searched for while coming to the universal page is pre-filled in the search bar.
• Once removed they will see all the results of active institutions registered with the system.
• Pagination is at the bottom to navigate to different pages. Each page would display a maximum of 8 institutions.

Sort By

This will sort the institution based on the input given. The seeker can sort institutions based on three criteria. By default, institution would be sorted under Recent – descending

1. Recent (ascending or descending) – sort happens based on the recently added institutions.
2. Name (ascending or descending) – sort happens based on the name
3. Location (ascending or descending) – sort happens based on the Location

People Category

• When the seeker changes the dropdown to people and searches for any users, immediately after they type three or more characters a loader shows up and can view search results of the people matching their search criteria.
• Seeker can view upto 10 users in the results list and if they want to view the complete list they can press the enter button and will be taken to the people’s page with their search input filter applied.

They can click on any of the user names and view their profile page and if there were no results found for the search criteria it returns a "No results found" message.

Company Category

• When the seeker changes the dropdown to company and searches for any company, immediately after they type three or more characters a loader shows up and can view search results of the companies matching their search criteria.
• Seeker can view up to 10 companies in the results list and if they want to view the complete list they can press the enter button and will be taken to the companies page with their search input filter applied.

They can click on any of the company names and view their profile page and if there were no results found for their search criteria it returns a "No results found" message.

Educational Institution Category

Jobs Category

• When the seeker changes the dropdown to the job and searches for any job title, immediately after they type three or more characters a loader shows up and can view the search results of the jobs matching their search criteria.
• Seeker can view up to 10 jobs in the results list and if they want to view the complete list they can press the enter button and will be taken to the job list page with their search input filter applied.

They can click on any of the job titles and view its detailed page and if there were no results found for their search criteria it returns a "No results found" message.
