Job¶
Introduction¶
This document describes how job seeker can apply for different jobs and view their saved jobs, search for jobs, and refer jobs to others.
Prerequisite¶
The seeker must register with the ISU Camisens. They can also view jobs without logging in.
View Jobs¶
Click on the menu button at the top right corner and then select Jobs from the menu
The seeker would be taken to the Job List page. Each time the seeker comes to the job list page, the system checks, if the seeker has any job preferences set, and based on those preferences, jobs would be shown to the seeker.
If the seeker wants to remove the preference filters, they can click on the clear all button in the filter panel. Learn more about how to set up preferences under settings.
Title and Location Search¶
The seeker can perform a live search for job posts for their preferred job title or city, state, or country from the search bar.
Sort By¶
Sort jobs based on the seeker’s input. Sort the jobs based on 2 criteria. By default, jobs would be sorted under Recent jobs – descending
- Recent jobs (ascending or descending)
- Job name (ascending or descending)
Filters¶
Click on the filter button, a filter panel opens to the right of the screen, which contains various filter options like
Immediate Hiring¶
The seeker will get the job posts that are looking for individuals to join immediately.
Salary¶
The seeker can choose the salary type they need (Ex: Per Hour, Per year). Job post based on their salary input will be shown.
Experience In Years¶
The seeker can set the min and max experience for jobs they expect to filter job posts with the selected experience category.
Job Posted¶
This filter would filter those job posts that were posted at above specified times.
WorkPlace¶
This filter would filter jobs that are expecting its candidates to be compatible with any workplace.
Company¶
This filter would filter job postings based on the companies selected The select all feature is used to select all the fields under each category. Similarly, seeker can also filter
- Locations
- Skills
- Job Types
- Industries
- Job Functions
- Education
Initially 5 fields would be shown with a More label at the bottom. Click on the more label to view more fields or search for any specific ones in the search bar.
To each filter when any of the fields under them is checked the main label will have a count to indicate that the filter is selected.
Clear Button¶
The clear button in filter clears the check-ins of that particular area.
Apply and Clear All Buttons¶
Click on the apply filter button to apply the changes and clear all the changes at once by clicking on the clear all button.
The seeker gets to see the filters applied in such a manner
Seeker can click on any of these blue-colored filters and that particular filter alone being applied. For ex, if the seeker selects hybrid from the secondary title above, then the other filters would be removed and the secondary title would say something like the below image.
